That would be really cool if I had the time to make it a living entity... especially the legs and eyes. Sorta like the droid dekkas from Star Wars but ALIVE!

Hmm missed this one, there's been so many. I really like the colour selection and shapes you've got going on here. You definitely want to try and contrast the softness of the interior with the hardness of the shell, and yes a nice shelack paint job will be cool, maybe even with a bit of angle of incidence shading going on, as you get on beetles shells!

It's a bit vague how this thing stands, whether its hanging from the ceiling, or on legs. Some little black insectoid legs out the bottom could look quite cool, perhaps also being overlaid with little metallic wiring and such, for it's connection to the rest of it's environment. It could do with a 'plug' of some type, since it is a control chair!

It almost looks to me like the 'closed' state could also be similar to the 'in use' state, because the user could have the control interfaces on the inside of the lid, albeit his legs will be dangling out the bottom
