| Challenge #7 - Final Results I'm sorry that it took so long but I was terribly busy over the last two weeks. Finally here are the results for the 7th Sensei Challenge. #1 - We've got a tie: Dravt-A, Enigmaxs #2 - Sylook #3 - Lord Kane Most honorable member - none We couldn't find a "most honorable member" this time as we feel that no one really stood out. Thanks to everybody for a good Challenge and see you next time. I notified Aceman about the results and the winners should get their medals soon. Please click the links to watch the submissions from Dravt-A and Enigmaxs |

| wow I didn't even get a thank you for entering, people thought my submission was good, well I guess it wasn't..... sorry to sound like a sore loser, but I've been at this site since two years before the crash and relaunch. And I feel as people play favorites.. well anyway.. again I apologize, and thank you... |

Dravt-A and Enigmaxs' entries won out this time around. Both were relatively complex and original designs and I congratulate them for their efforts. I was not involved in decision making process for the winners this time around so I will leave it for one of the Sensei to talk about the entries as a whole, but I will thank and congratulate everyone who submitted an entry. As is often said, putting your skills up against those of your peers in competition is an excellent way of improving your own. What stands out to me about Dravt-A and Enigmaxs' entries is that they both approached the guidelines from a holistic point of view - How are we going to be performing the torture, what will we use to restrain the unfortunate subject etc etc. I also like how both used their own brand of warped humour in the naming of their devices. At the end of the day, there is absolutely no reason to feel discouraged at not winning a challenge here at SFM. We have an exceptionally diverse range of skills, talents and creativity here. Now, I might have this wrong here - and one of the Sensei can correct me if I am wrong - but these challenges were never about winning - about finding out who the best artist was. The primary goal was to encourage our members to push themselves, think outside the box and take on projects that they may not have otherwise considered. Why do we have winners? Because none of you would bother taking part otherwise. But seriously, the reward of the challenges, for me, is seeing artists grow, learn new skills and open lines of possibilities that they may not have considered before. Creativity is the key to being a great artist and it is my hope that we are, on some small level, helping to inspire / enhance or downright push people into thinking outside the box. ![]() Great work to all involved and I look forward to the next one. | |

| Comco, I never liked showing my art until I came to this site, and i shared it with strangers.. yet over the years I've gotten good feedback, and downright mean replies, it's all water under the bridge now, but i've never liked critism, but what I diskile even more is being completely ignored in the challenge, It seems as though they looked at it once and didn't even look at the details, I use a free program, and I cannot just call up a macro or plug-in to do tedeous work like that.. I just feel as though they didn't see that, or thought it was easy, maybe for them, But I've always had trouble because of my program, But I self taught myself on it, and I love the program.. but it is very limited.. |
