| Challenge #6 - Armorhead - Drone Control Chair Okay this will be my first time posting in a while, also my first challenge. Anywho, i had some ideas... the first one was a chair that controlled a fighter, pretty straightforward, but for added protection the fighter would have no canopy and the pilot would see things through a sort of visor that transmitted from sensors or something. Then i didnt really like that idea, seemed to generic.. but i liked the idea of protection so i kinda built on that. Still a chair that controls a fighter, but it controls a drone now. The chairs would be grouped in a room on the carrier ship.. Possibly even stacked on top of each other, i havent decided yet. Basically the same chair design as before except now the person sits legs outstretched, and also the sensory information is transmitted directly to the user's brain instead of visually. Here are my concept sketches: A change im already planning for the model: -adding 2 more sensory output devices on the sides( no reason other than it looks good |

| Hallway Monitor | Perhaps you could raise the midpoint of the leg support, so the knees are raised a little. That position wouldn't be too comfortable right now! Otherwise it's a strong concept so far, and it's looking good! |

| Yeah, raised knees would definitely be more comfortable I think. Is that orange thing above his head a drill that drills a hole into his skull should he not pay enough attention to commanding and surf webpages instead on his screen? |

| oh my god tobian you're a lifesaver lol. i even remember learning about the bent knee thing in ergonomics (i had an unit on ergonomics in business class lol) so yes i have taken that suggesstion and bent the knees. lol Zabiegly no they are not drills.... im seriously considering installing them now though... The things above his head are the devices that transfer the sensor information from the drone fighter into his brain 2nd WIP: This has the 2 other sensory devices in place... but i need to work on the little cords... if you look closely you can see that they are clearly not attached or even close to being attached in any way. Also i have changed the shape of the chair slightly to make it less boxy looking. Finally i have put in the foot cover plating that will house the foot input system (probably pedals) This cover retracts into the ground (he has to get out of the chair someday right?) |

| Hallway Monitor | Hehe you're welcome. The best guide to ergonomics is simply to try and imagine sitting like that yourself, even get on the floor and try it. I'd also say recline the chair seat back a little IMHO. The layout as it stands screams out for joysticks hehe, and yes foot pedals also sounds like a good idea! If you install brain drills, then do remember to put some drains in the seat for all the blood |

| This just shows the joystick for manual control (thankyou tobian... again lol) along with a start at my efforts to detail. Greebling and small details are a weakness of mine so im hoping to step it up here |

| Hallway Monitor | Looks good, and yes, small details do my head in too! Good luck with them! i'd say start with what would functionally be there, then add some extra bits to be sure |
