Hey folks,

since a while ago i am a member of this community, spectating around and do nothing. Today i want to change this and show you my blooddy attempts with Photoshop. Critics and Tipps are always welcome. I hope my english is good enough to answer you properly. Here are some of my works from the last month and weeks. The most of my works are from my german FanFiction Series STAR TREK: UNITY ONE. The Animaniac is my Chief Creative Officer and made for the Project lots of Meshs like the U.S.S. Escort-A, the Titan and Spacekomplex Unity One.

I also make Stockphotos with Uniform. If you guys need them fpr your Artworks, you can use them freely. With or without my head. But please credit me.

Every time I near the end of one of these projects I think of that cliche aphorism about art being "abandoned, but never finished."
Well, after adding a couple more textures and tweaking the lights some more, sometime in the next 24 hours I hope to abandon this guy.
Until then I guess it remains a work in progress.

Star Trek: The Carver Class

This is my idea for a new replacement for the long serving Oberth class. Named after George Washington Carver. She is a bit larger, but not by much. Not completely finished, but i have 95% of it done I think.

Akira Class Starship

I have been modelling for nearly 6 years, in that time I have only attmepted to model one trek ship and that was a fan desgin when I first started. So I did not get very far and dropped it.
Anyway. 6 years with out actually making a Trek ship seems a litttle wrong as most people starting out in 3d will build one. normal the TOS Ent or the Enterprise-D.

So as it was time to start building my own, I decided to go with a ship I loved ever since we first got to see her in Star Trek Frist Contact.

The Akira Class

So to start off I thought I would start with the weapons pod, as it looked like the easiest area to start from.

Uss Kelvin battlescreen

Well I have become a bit more pro in art's since the last time I posted. This is a tribute to the USS Kelvin's last stand against the Narada. I just note I like this ship much more than the new Enterprise. Call me old fashionated, but the new ships in the movie gave me a stomach spin. The Kelvin it self tough reminded me a bit more to the old movie's.

I put the thing in chronological order, it show how I planned and put this picture together. Reference used: I looped the part from the movie again and again to see how the ship looks. Tough it would have been easier to just come here and look for references. :doh:

Point defense turret

I'm making point defense turrets for my ship, this is what I have so far. I like it but it comes in at 20K verts, and a standard destroyer will have 12, I hope I don't chug my system too much. Maybe I'll do a lot poly version sand subsurfing and edge splitting for distant shots.

As for rational, the weapons have 3 barrels as a tribute to david drake;s hammer's slammers novels in which tribarrelled "powerguns" are the point defense weapon of choice for many vehicles. The projection above them houses targeting scopes. Originally this was going to be recesses into the turret but I could not get it right, so I extruded it outward instead. Hey, i think it ended up looking better so it was a fortunate problem.

The thing sticking out the rear of the weapon mounts ia a housing for the rotary motor, i was thinking it might be too long to fit in the housing and didn't want to redo the sizes. Adds detail too.

OV-401 NASA Orbital Vehicle "Columbia"

It's been a long time since posting last, however I have been hard at work. Mostly I've been writing my scifi mini-novels. Rather than big starships, I went back to our no so distant future. This called for some new shuttle designs. This is the first of three designs. This is the first commercial production shuttle named after the first Space Shuttle Columbia.

seems everyone's doing startrek ships :)

i myself have done a romulan ship already and thought what the hell might aswell do something for the federation so having spent all night not being able to sleep i finally got bored with other stuff and "planed" out a design

based on the klingon bird of prey i decided to design my fed ship around the bird of preys overall shape its going to take time to do this one with all the curves and hull sections but heres the basic blocked out design

any C&C would be great

Hello All, It's been a while since I last posted here, but know I'm trying to make up for lost time. I was recently reading a copy of Military Combat Aircraft Magazine, and I thought to myself, "why don't I do something like this for the Star Wars universe. So I designed covers for a publication that I call Galactic Combat Spacecraft. I hope that you like them, and I would appreciate any feedback that you fine people would have to offer.
