| Administrator | Featured: Johannes Schlorb From Johannes Schlörb | Freelance Digital Design: I was born in 1976 in the town of Schotten, Germany, from where my family moved to Hanau (near Frankfurt) in 1988, where I'm still living today. I was attending school, too ;-) My main field of interest and professional activity is 3D graphics and animation. I made my first encounters with this genre in 1991, using 3D Studio 1.0 for DOS. I have since used all of its successors, and from 1996 on I have been doing 3D graphics and design as part of my profession. For some years I'm also involved in the beta testing of unreleased new software, mostly raytracers and effects plug-ins. Today I'm working as a freelancer. I am not specialized in any particular field, but certainly digital environments and "virtual set designs" belong to my stronger skills, wheras I'm less experienced with character modeling and animation. Typically I'm handling these jobs entirely via the internet, from the communication with the client to the delivery of final data (images, animations, scene files). I can provide the necessary infrastructure for it and also can rely on a network of fellow freelancers to participate as a team when needed. Thereby I am able to accept almost any kind of job - from small modeling services to complex animated films. Interested? Please find some samples of my recent work in my online portfolio, check out my related info page or just drop me a mail! --- Admin Comments --- Johannes's renderings are some of the best in the industry and are inspiring. I've chosen to feature him and his work for the first thread in his forum. Future selections will come for you the members. Stay tuned on how to recommend an artist, both from this community and aboard. Aceman Comments made here should be about the artist, his work, etc. If you don't have a good comment to make, please just enjoy the pictures. |

| It blows my mind! Just thinking about the shear amount of time that would be put into these scenes. |

| Some amazing stuff and a fitting first artist for this new section. I noticed a number of the items have been featured in posts, very memorable work. Really like the cityscape pics, looks like the engineered islands you see springing up in the UAE. Look forward to this section filling out! |
