The Phoenix Sequence

Ok here is the rework of your basic outline.

Story opens with events leading up to SURPISE ENDING. (Stop moments, before the surprise ending is reviled. *have a fade out or something*)

*fade in* Areyn is living in the real world getting on with her life. (Maybe have a boyfriend /girlfriend.)
Either out shopping or having dinner with her partner, special-forces, has arrived for AERYN'S CAPTURE. (If with partner, they are confused about what is going on.)

When she is returned to Project Sabre's facilities (flash back to when she was last there/ escaped), tested, and informed of that they need her help. They offer a deal, help and they will let her back to her new life in the real world or if she does not help, she will be locked up for life with no contact with another living thing.
She agrees to help and the SEQUENCE CRISIS is explained. Her "Brothers and Sisters" have escaped, and they need her to track them down. She is to either bring them back or kill them.

Areyn has more flash back to her early day as being a member of PROJECT SABRE, as she wait for her more information on the last location of her “Brothers and Sisters” News come in that they have stolen the weapon known as The Phoenix Sequence.

THE SEQUENCE EXPLAINED tells exactly what this new weapon is for, what it does, and how it works -- at that point the ATTACK ON BANK AND TRUST begins, and Aeryn's Brothers and Sisters take control of the hidden First Key. It is explained how it is known they have the first key, as money keeps randomly going missing from several key accounts, and is untraceable after being bounced off several thousand bank accounts.

The location of where the hacking is taking place is found, Areyn sent in to stop her “Brothers and Sisters”.

AERYN'S BROTHER, SABRE 0001-P then recaptures her, and attempts to convince her to help in his plan. She has to think about it, and he disappears into the darkness.
Areyn is not sure weather to help them and be free form the project forever with no one coming after her and let her “brothers and sisters” control the world, or to stop them and let the world carry on as normal. *More flash backs to her past*

The Sabres attack the MAN WITH THE KEY, attempting to steal his Department of Defence Identification Card -- and his thumb (for thumbprint identification). Aeryn tracks her siblings, homing in on their position. She finds them, refusing to allow them to destroy the Earth, and their BATTLE ENSUES. When Aeryn and her Brother are all that's left, they start to talk.
He try’s again to get her on their side, but he is shot by two PROJECT SABRE scientists, known as the "parents", who say they'll be taking control of The Sequence.

Aeryn informs them that they don't have the Third Key -- but learns that her original escape from Project Sabre was no accident -- rebellious tendencies had been identified in her, and before she escaped, she was implanted with the Third Key, an RFID Tag embedded into her skin. She was allowed to escape, and now, the Scientists have staged an "almost bloodless coup" on the entire world, while, at the same time, ridding themselves of their "horrid mistakes", the Sabre Children. They move to initiate the sequence, but.... SURPRISE ENDING

*As I don’t know what the surprise ending is, here is one idea. With everything back to normal Areyn return to her real world life. (If she has a partner she explains everything to them.) Out of nowhere some one turns up looking for her. They need her help. Areyn is off on another adventure.*

This leaves you the option to do another story.

I'm not sure about your beginning -- that part's still a bit grey on this end. Other than that, I was going to have Aeryn get shot at the end, when her Parents arrive, which begins the surprise ending. Aeryn gets shot, but we never show her die, which does leave things open for a sequel. This also has the opportunity for my alternate ending.

Not sure what I want to do as the primary ending yet. I have two options. Both of them are "classified" .

Anyway, other than that, I love it, mate. I love how you've reworked my original outline into something more. Very nice.

And I've only gotten into preliminaries. The script itself hasn't begun to take shape yet. Why? Are you interested in helping?

I have an idea . . . with a childhood spend training and learning to kill, Aeryn and the other children wouldn't be very social. so I think that any relationship that Aeryn would have outside of Saber would be very difficult. she has violent tendencies, she angers easily, she doesn't take orders very well unless it's from someone at Saber
maybe she lives in a warehouse and listens to loud music, maybe she drives a motorcycle, maybe her living space is filled with training equipment, guns, swords etc
maybe she's working as a hitman(hitwoman?) (old habits die hard)

wait is it Saber or Sabre?

I had originally envisioned it "Sabre", but either spelling is fine for now.

Some excellent points there, backstept! I'll think about some of those points, but the one idea I don't like is her being a hitwoman. She's hiding, and thus is trying to stay "off the radar", so to speak.

But I like this idea of what her home, her new lifestyle should be like. This thread is really helping to flesh out the film, and I greatly appreciate everyone's input on this.

I have to be honest that I don't like the idea of her driving a motorcycle. Dark Angel already did that, heck every show that uses some sort of military super secret branch features a fetish for motorcycles.

Not to mention lower enlisted (such as myself) aren't allowed to drive in Korea. Probably won't be using the motorcycle. She'll be using more or less public transit if I have to show her traveling.

Anyway, I was saying the ideas for Aeryn's lifestyle, her home, were very good.

yeah motorcycles are cliche aren't they?



some backstory ideas:
the Children were created towards the end of the Cold War, so they were initially intended to operate undercover in Russia, look Russian, speak Russian . . . but remain invisible and to take out strategic targets. kids as spies/assassins/supersoldiers would probably not blend in well with the population, but they'd need to be invisible (but not cloaked lol)
but they weren't ready in time.
the fall of the United Soviet Socialist Republics eliminated the need for the children. the order came down that all things related to Project Sabre would be disposed of.

oh instead of the children being genetically engineered, maybe they were 'stolen' . . . they were selected from a list of parents matching a genetic profile, and at birth they were stolen from their parents, who were told that their child had died
the records of their biological parents were incinerated so there would be no chance of them finding out, even the nurses and doctors were 'taken care of'

okay so after Project Sabre was 'officially' dismantled, the leaders of the project kept it running in secret, maybe to be sent to the Gulf War, or the Balkans or whatever . . . the 'Parents' were also hoping to use the children in their own plans (which coincides with the 'Parents' wanting to take control of Phoenix)
the children escape, and the movie starts

maybe she rides a bicycle?
