| This time you see | World in Conflict- 360 & PC Looks like a fun game- still early days as far as information is concerned, but I'm a big fan of Cold War era military equipment, so this could be one of the most interesting RTS games of recent times. ![]() anyone else got any thoughts on this? | I have played the demo - With no pre-order there is just a tutorial, a SP mission and a skimish map ( same battlefield as SP Mission ). It appears the WiC is just a domination game - you chase your enemies around critical points until time runs out and person who has the most wins. You really cannot hold positions as you can in other RTS games because the support weapons ( artillery, air strikes ) will wipe out anything standing still. In Massive's previous game ( Ground Control II, which WiC is alot like ) you take your opponents LZs and cut them off from reinforcements. Can't be done in WiC. My personal preference is a RTS where it is possible to wipe your opponent out, instead of an endless chase around a battlefield. |

| This coffee tastes funny | I played the beta as well, fun at first, but it didn't grow on me. Not like COH: Opposing Fronts did. Hell I'm still playing the beta for that and it went gold weeks ago. One more week and I'll get that instead. |

| having played throught the single player, have to say its short...12 missions(5-7hrs of playtime) or so, but its fun. Multiplayer... its more varied than what was available in beta. The game also, suprisingly comes with a 10 day trial for full multiplayer... all in all definatly one to play |

| I just got it today and so far it's f-ing hard. I'm on normal and the Russians just pour out of everywhere; it's insanity. I currently on the pine valley SP missions. Eventually too many Commies show up and I just get overwhelmed. Fun game so far though. Didn't know it was so short. I know that there is an american campaign, Europian, and finally one in Russia. Just what I heard, though. Does that sound about right? Don't give away any spoilers if it so. Just a yes. |
