| I don't know about indefinite hiatus but it is stalled because of financial problems. I thought the short was awesome  Was very suprised about how true it stayed to the games, the CGI could have used a little bit of work, too easy to spot it out. |

| In the case of this film especially the person who made it. This short film was more of a demostration to show the execs a idea of what HALO the movie may look like and made by this director. The CGI is ment to help improve and give better eye candy for the film, also to give a idea what the objects, vehicles, and effects may look like. . Another thing to understand is that this is a short low budget film. Computer animation, design, is expensive. The short movie had both a combination of live action and cgi blended in quite well. it was well done, with good attention to HALO's universe. In this case the building of the Jeeps, sniper guns, Infantry helmets, the Famous dropships, The assembly line of jeeps and dropships .the suiting up of the Marine and his weapons. The marine suiting up practically a dead giveaway of the suiting up scene from Aliens. The marine himself looked authentic, his gear looking functional and usable, the marine himself looking more like a soldier then a actor in costume. This movie was gritty, and hardedged. fits well into the HALO universe It would be great if the studio approved of this version of HALO for the movie. |
