Finally, I'll be able to play this!

Lost Planet™: PC Demo Download

Can other people try to install this? I'm getting this error message. My DX is updated to 9.0c, and the OS is XP x64, but the game is new enough you'd think it'd work with that system!

It's from the future and requires DX12 with VRML interfacing

yeah...
but you should see the DX12 version. It LOOKS REAL.

probably the programmers rather than coding in what OS' are unsuported,simply coded in that only windows XP is supported.

and being that XP x64 is both 64 bit and technically Windows 2003. he installer thinks it's unsuported despite the game working perfectly fine.

It installed on my vista machine fine, but its the dx10 version, btw it looks gorgeous.

I cant get mine to work. Apparently i dont have pixel shader 3.0??

I just want to play it already dammit! And of course I can't buy it not knowing whether or not it'll work...oh well, lost business for them I guess

Try using compatibility modes. Or setting the installers affinity to 1 core, not both. I have found that is often a problem.

Shader Model 4 is Direct X 10 I believe, and it will only work with Geforce 8xxx cards, or Ati 2xxx cards.

SM 3 Is only available on the later DX9 cards, (6600 and up) So your gfx card may be too old
