Most of my friends have a wii and they are the textbook definition of a hardcore gamer. They also have 360's.

The Wii is a party machine. Nothing more. Its the guitar hero of next gen consoles.

See, this is what completely sucks about this f'ing hobby: "My console rules! Yours sucks! Microsoft Rocks! Sony rules! Nintendo is the best!"

Buncha goddam alleged adults with the mental attitudes of stunted twelve year olds. Not anyone here individually, just the whole fanboyish cult mentality that has formed around the different consoles. It's exactly as juvenile and stupid as "Trek vs. Wars" flamewars.

As for that "survey," there are three kinds of lies: 1) lies; 2) damned lies; and 3) statistics.

Just out of curiosity, if, as you suggest, Nintendo sucks the sweat from a monkey's ass, why is Microsoft feeling the need to issue a half-crippled low-cost 360? If Nintendo is about to get stomped, there's no incentive for Microsoft to make this move.

I haven't played my Wii in a while because i've been to busy with film projects to even sit down and play games. I've played a bit of the orange box, only because i insisted i spend some time on my most anticipated game of the year, but i haven't played the MK: Armageddon or Mario Party 8 games yet. Even at parties i'm too busy.

Not to say the Wii doesnt get used, I personally dont get to use it.

Very well said. A game system is a game system is a game system. They all have good stuff, and they all have faults. But all they are are game systems. Great to relax with and thats about it.

Though if I was going to waste my money on a new platform, I'd probably go with the Wii, just cause I like the concept. as someone who prefers the GTA games to most others, high-res graphics don't matter much to me. Is it the better system? Don't know, don't care. It looks interesting, thats all I need.
