| This coffee tastes funny | On my second run through now. Only a couple of gripes really, that it ends a lot sooner than expected (because I hear it's going to be a trilogy of games), and you don't get to play much with the big guns. I've dropped a few sought-after attachments, weapons, and vehicles along the way using the editor. |

Also quad core people who thought they would gain benefits for this game gained nothing. Very High Graphics Settings in DX9 No Quad Core Scaling in Crysis? | SFM Guru | Again, since thi seems like it canot be repeated enough. Very High graphics settings on Crysis is NOT the same as running in DX10 mode, it does NOT give the same graphics. |

I for myself have a T7200 and a X1800 and I'm happy to play it at least with medium settings. What bugs me a bit: Wasn't it announced that the game keeps track whether you kill most Koreans or sneak around them / sedate them, which would have consequenses later in the game? Besides that, this game rocks. |

In fact its often interesting making a version of the music for an audio CD as the music is not written to be played as individual 'songs' but rather as individual themic elements that are arranged at runtime depending on what is happening in the game. DAve | |

On my system I can't use the highest settings, so the visuals are similar to Oblivion with better textures and bump mapping -- but the world is much more alive. The way the vegetation reacts to objects and gunfire really adds to the immersion, and the bloom, hdr, and DOF effects are just right, especially compared to the horribleness of UT3's effects. The in-engine cutscenes are also very well done IMO. I haven't been found a fps this atmospheric since AvP2. And in AvP, you couldn't kill someone by switching to Strength mode and throwing a watermelon at them, or beating them with a toilet brush ![]() |
