BSG - Beyond the Red Line

While waiting for the gaming section to reopen I'll restart the WIP thread of our free Battlestar Galactica game Beyond the Red Line. I hope this is ok and a moderator can move this thread to the gaming forum once it opens.

Anyway, for those of you who didn't follow the last thread a quick summary: Beyond the Red Line is a free space-shooter game based on the Battlestar Galactica tv-show. Developed by rapid fans of the series, the completely unffocial game is based on the heavily modified Freespace 2 engine. Good news is that the final product will not require FS2.

No release date, but we make quite steady progress every week. I will be posting updates to this thread as before.

Enough of my babble, here's a collection of test videos from the game in action. Please note that everything you see is WIP and in some cases very much so.

Postcount +1

Since new forums won't allow posting more than four images... here's the newest update:

I can't believe how good this stuff looks every time I take a peek at it. I'm trying to not get excited about it for fear of it going the route of other anticipated independent games (A babylon 5 one springs to mind..) but Geeze, when images like this are being turned out, it's hard not to get frothy at the mouth for it.

Tylium depot looks phenomenal!
it's gonna be rough waiting for you guys to finish, but as long as we get to see how things are coming along I think it'll be bearable

You won't need a joystick as you can fly with mouse just fine. Of course, for the best possible game experience a joystick is a must.

The depot looks incredible. Is it a render shot that you are going to optimise for the game or will it be that highly detailed in the game?
