| SFM Guru | I'd say you'd be better off just getting the PC kit designed for head trackign that is supported in many games, don't remember the name now though. personally I don't find head trackign that attractive, sure the movements are highly exaggarated so you only barely move yoru head but still... VR helmets or triple+ screens like that Xbox360 Forza sim kit on sale is they key. 3 big screen TV's for full fotn and side views, yeah that's the key |

| ah, i found a Head-Tracking kit -> which is supported by Eve btw but costs 200$. the nice thing about the Wii-mote headtracking is: if you already having a Wii, and perhaps a blue-tooth connector, this solution is nearly cost-free. a tri-screen setup - hell i'm already happy about the second CRT screen i'm using atm... now ive read more about that topic and noticed several things: a 180° field of view due to three screens wont create a better 3D immersion if you dont combine it with the head-tracking. johnny didnt use the 'mote to rotate the camera - like the "TrackIR" device does in most games. his software is just moving the virtual camera at the exact position of the viewers head - and this is creating that stunning 3D depth effect. if you think about it then you will discover that it would be great for any 3D-modeling software to use it. most important part the wii-mote solution is: its cheap, simple and using out-of-the-stock-hardware. its a cable free device with nearly everything built in. |

| SFM Obsessed | It's possible to hook a Wiimote into a PC via Bluetooth too and there's a video out there of someone who has used one to create a cheap smartboard. I'll see if I can dig out the link Ah-ha! HERE! Same chap, but from his official site |
