Tried as much as I can, I have the latest bios, there's no settings or jumpers or switches to alter, but the CPU specs are almost identical to the Celery I have, only the Cache is bigger (512k as opposed to 128k) and the speed is "slower" (1.8GHz as opposed to 2.0GHz), I feel really dissapointed now.... ![]() |

As for the speed issue, it's not how fast it is, it's how much Cache that's the issue, the Celeron as I've already stated is 128k, whereas the P4 is 512k, and that's what I'm after, everything else is technically identical, so there's no obvious reason why it shouldn't work, unless there's a Bios lock which prevents me from upgrading what is my property... But anyway, I'm going to build a new PC with that CPU, so I can free up my main PC for MIDI, video editing and general gaming... ![]() |

| Awake and Dreaming | At least on desktop boards, there are many that will take either Pentium 4 or Celery, as long as they're both the same socket. Don't know if the same holds true for many lappy boards, but from 2cvbloke's experience, I'd say chances aren't very good ![]() |
