I definitely agree with you on the Whitestar issue. The squawking engine noise did not help.

I was never a fan of the Angry Angelfish ships of the Minbari. Powerful, but never really liked 'em. But, that's me.

Another one for the list:
Peacekeeper Command Carrier (don't know what those giant clockwork gears are for ... but they're cool).

Damn rippers

Anyway, best looking starship? For some reason the only one that comes to my mind atm is the Enterprise E. I'm probably missing something, but whatever.

I'd say- in on particular order:

The Sulaco - Aliens
The Roger Young - Starship Troopers
Enterprise-E - Star Trek First Contact
Romulan D'Deridex Warbird - TNG era
Rapier - Wing Commander 2
Gunstar - Last Starfighter
Vagyr Super Capital ship - Homeworld 2
Bentussi City Ship - Homeworld 2
Minbari Sharlin - Babylon 5
Zentraedi Thuverl Salan - Robotech

2d art is treated as a bastard child in 3D forums.
There are cultures on this planet that are just plain not ready for advanced technologies like explosives and automatic guns

In no particular order. Nostromo. Galactica 03. Sulaco. Serenity. NX-01. B5 Star Furies. The Lexx.

Special Mention. The Millenium Falcon. I saw the large model of it at The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney a couple of years ago. Unless you have seen it in the flesh, you can have NO IDEA how much detail is on that thing. I spent half an hour checking it out, and probably missed as much as I saw. That thing is incredible.

Don't judge a man by his medals, but by his scars.
