hehe- I'm in the thick of the Vista Launch at work this week, it's been great fun.

Customer: "We're interested in buying a laptop computer for the home. We're general computer users and are aware of Windows Vista. What's the big deal?"

Me: "Well, Vista has a lot of advantages over Windows XP... *insert explanation of Vista here...* and it's a lot more user friendly and intuitive for general users."

Customer: "Oh, excellent. Do you like Vista so far?"

Me: "Oh yeah- I think its a big improvement."

Customer: "What sort of computer do you have then?"

Me: "I have an Apple Mac."

Customer: "What's the difference?"

Me: "Not a huge amount since Tuesday..."

Ten minutes later they left the store with a MacBook.

Here comes the water, It comes to wash away the sins of you and I.
This time you see- like holy water, it only burns you faster than you'll ever dry.

Funny stuff, I've been wonder when Microsoft would at least try and make their os more user freindly, I guess 5 years behind Apple isn't that bad.

that's pretty good

I use both windows and mac and i like the mac OS but I still prefer windows, at least when programs crash in windows, it usually gives you some random error number or tells you which important system file that cant be deleted just crashed your program, mac's just tell you the progam closed unexpectedly and ask you if you want to reopen the program

anyway, I better go to bed now seeing as it's 3 in the morning over here, but before I do here's a vid highlighting afew of the macs "best" features YouTube - PC vs Mac

I remember someone saying that Gates bought a type of stock, I think it was referred to as "non-voting stock".

Ah, here, from 1997: Jobs names Apple board - Aug. 6, 1997

From last year: MacDailyNews | Six years ago today: the infamous Apple-Microsoft deal announced

Stock-option compensation packages? If MS didn't invent them outright they are the earliest tech company I know of to feature stock as a salary enhancer. Think of all the people who wouldn't have gone to work for tech companies if they didn't see a chance of becoming young millionaires.

Home computers as a mainstream phenomenon. Who came up with the concept of personal computer/ GUIs and what not is largely irrelevant. Microsoft (and mainly it's marketing machine) is pretty much the main reason you're hard pressed to find a spot on the planet that isn't a walking distance away from a PC of some sort.

Although after reading the comments on both vids linked, I'm not sure that's a good thing.
