| Your 21 and just passed your test - I'd have expected more actually. Give it two or three years and your premium will drop drastically. |

| you'll get a load of americans posting in here now with stuff like "Im 15 years old and I own a '58 corvette and it only costs me $20 a year to insure, you clearly chose the wrong insurance company" they just don't realise there's a world outside the US sometimes ![]() UK insurance prices suck for young drivers, combine that with petrol and road tax here it's amazing anyone under the age of 20 can afford to drive at all, but give it a few years and it'll come down, btw my friends insurance cost him £1400 for the first year, so you got off lucky have you done pass pluss? that can be equal to 1 years discount and would certainly help with the cost what car do you have and how old are you? |

Blog Entries: 2 | You have a car? Congratulations, you now have something that will suck up all your money faster than anything else you will experience, at least until you get married. |

I passed my test last summer and I'm looking for my first car still, tried alot of places and the cheapest at the time was £1700 from Tesco. I've gone to Ecar Insurance an they seem to have the best quote for me - £870 for a 1.0l Corsa fully comp. | |

| Wow that's a lot of cash... I don't remember ever paying anything close to that on my insurance. But then again I'm sure UK youths are more responisble because of it. |
