| okay, but the fact is, your motherboard is older than god, so you'll battle to find any decent card for it. an old Geforce MX440 would probably work...if you can get one. I don't see your system handling anything above a Geforce 5 series card though. |

| no don't ignore those comments, your computer is older than time itself so spending any extra money on it would be a waste, you probably could find a newer AGP graphics card, but would your PSU even be able to handle it? I'd say save that money instead and get some proper upgrades also why the hell would you buy a new monitor when your PC itself is in so much need of upgrading, if it was a choice between looking at how fast and smooth everything runs on an old monitor, or looking how slow, choppy and crap it runs with a new monitor then I'd go with the first every time |

As Dave has said, your PSU is probably somewhere in the order of around 200watts, if you buy any new card, it's going to want more, a lot more. If you buy your self a new PSU and your motherboard doesn't like it.....kaboom. Save the money, keep saving and buy a new PC. I'm also with Dave on the monitor thing, you sure you aren't pulling our legs on this! | |

| SFM Guru | As if a 6200 uses that much more then a 440. If the man wants to enjoy his new delicious screen just let him go out and buy a somewhat more decent graphics card, I'm sure you can get a 5xxx or 6xxx card second hand at cheap prices. Really staring at a widescreen monitor using a 4:3 resolution, that's enough to make people go sick. There's no need to overhaul his pc, he's saving for a mac to attach to his new delicious monitor, an overhaul would be a lot more expensive than a new budget card that can handle widescreen resolutions. |

| ^It does use way more than an MX440, the cards above the GeForce 5 series use a hell of a lot more power. Friends I have with 400 watt PSU's had major problems with GeForce 6800's for example. That's why I suggested not going above a Geforce 5. |
