Rumour has it they are soon to be filmed, although wether this is a movie, a tv show, or a mini series hasnt been determined.

JJ Abrahms is attatched to the project, so it could be good, but I cant help feeling some of the books are a lot more filmable than others.

I'm a real big fan of the books and cant wait to see it on any screen. This leads ma to a question, ponder on the serious. Who should play Roland?

James Woods? JAMES WOODS!?? Put down that glue bottle and back away slowly. He's mighty sarcastic and cynical but he's way too scrawny and bantam-roosterish to be any kind of real tough guy. I remember him being pretty unconvincing as a killer of vampires.

Roland is scrawny too, and while vampires does indeed suck donkey balls, its hardly the zenith of his career.
