battlestar galactica episode ideas... So lets hear some ideas about what would make a good battlestar episode! Ive always thought that a episode were the galactica meets with some more surviving civilians would be a neat idea. EXCEPT! These civilians are oddly fit and proficient with weapons, and are later found stealing ammo from the galactica and loading it onto a couple raiders. They are caught red handed and the 50 or so civilians are immediately arrested, then they find out something suprising. They are actualy shipping the weapons over to a old heavily modified galactica style ship that bares a mark identical to that of a old colonial pirate group! oh the suspense! ok, let me hear your ideas.

| This coffee tastes funny | A high-risk salvage mission to a colonial scrapyard, where multiple engineering teams in raptors attempt to reactivate retired civilian and military ships and attempt to escape before the cylons arrive, or maybe even pull it off from right under their noses! |

The Galactica finds one of the old-style Basestars that is for some reason completely disabled and decide to use the ship for scrap to repair the Galactica's battle damage. But one of the salvage teams accidentally activates a homing beacon and manages to turn it off. But now, out of fear of the Cylons picking up the signal, have to take as much as they can before they're discovered.

The RTF finds a colony of humans that was part of a failed expedition to settle one of the now known 12 colonies. They "jumped beyond the red line" and became the famous legend behind the risks in undertaking such an action. Now they're the most developed human world left in the entire universe and the RTF have brought the Cylons right to their doorstep.

one more interesting point that could be investigated. Since they're part of the group before the Cylons existed, how would they react, or even respond to such a threat? Assuming of course that they didnt build space ships. By the end of the story, the RTF could end up with a few extra thousand people, or at least a world where they could take refuge long enough to rebuild the damage ships in the fleet.

why does mine need a plot rewrite? Andromeda didn't when they found their new homeworld "Tarazed" and it's vaguely similar circumstances. All you're doing is providing a pit stop for the fleet and possible replenishment to the humans.

it's a plot rewrite because there's no mention of any other colonies outside of kobol, the 12 colonies, and earth. If suddenly there's this bastard child of a colony it puts in to question the validity of the plot laid out thus far. I just think IMO that it would be disruptive and would begin to question the suspension of disbelief if we start finding 'the colony of the week' that just happens to have humans on it. I guess I just reminds me too much of TOS BSG where every episode, no matter how far from the 12 colonies they got there always happened to be some human inhabited world.

Sounds like it could be the perfect start for a spinoff.
