| Newstwattie | Using my work without permission! I just happened to be browsing Cornucopia3d looking at some Vue Infinite content, when I notice that an image of mine is being used to promote a competition on the site without me ever having received a request to use it. This is just absolutely maddening. The competition is the Nova Genesis 'future visions' and smack up pops my 'On Patrol' image. Someone's cruisin for a bruisin. |

| I checked my email but no images in their latest newsletter are displaying, it has something about the contest but I can't see any image there haven't spotted it on the website either yet they aren't part of eon are they? surely they operate separately, I know when I activated vue 5 for the first time I got £20 of vouchers with them, but I don't think eon would make a mistake like that |

| Newstwattie | Can't give you a link guys, it's a the top of the forums. It's a flash banner with 3 images in the sequence, the Marsian landscape one is mine. The picture was originally posted on another forum and uploaded to the Cornucopia gallery. Somebody had the gaul to suggest I read the terms of service, which of course I've already read and nowhere does it say Cornucopia3d can use your work without permission. E-on can but cornucopia are a seperate entity. Damn it that's pissed me right off. |

| One of my images 'Nanobots' is also used,I have it posted on the Cornucopia site, but I wasn't asked if they could use it for their 'Future Visions' competition. e-on Software on the other hand are using around 7 or 8 of my images to promote Vue on their site,I was asked though by them if it was OK. I gave my permission for them to use which ever images they liked, you'd think though seeing as though I'm helping promote their product they could of atleast offered a discount or copy on Vue 6 when it came out, after all company's the like of ILM,Weta,Sony are using Vue so e-on software are probably not short of cash ! |

Blog Entries: 2 | Its never a good idea to piss off a guy with an M-16. In some ways, that your art is good enough to represent them is a form of flattery, although I can certainly see why it annoys you that you werent asked. The read me on my old viper model up at sci-fi 3D clearly says, if you make any art, let me see it, yet the first I know that its in a 5 minute BSG fanfilm is when someone posts a link to it on this forum. Not quite the same thing, but it would have been nice to know. |
