| Blender 2.46 | RvD and RvD2 are probably the best fan-made lightsaber duels...I still see way too much flailing around with the lightsabers for no reason though. The whole point is to kill the other person, and there's always a lot of unused openings. I loved the physical effects of the lightsabers damaging the environment though, very well done. |

| the whole thing is realy well shot, editing is realy good as well. a few issues withe the FX doh..lightsabers hardly cast any lights on the actors. as for the fight, well, it's funny at best. THe movement are to "rehearse and choreographed" we can see each move comming, and since it's realy slow compared to the real SW fights, it removes me from the whole thing a bit. The dude is getting pounded in the back..and he's not even reacting. When he's calling up his Lightsaber..the other one is looking and kinda saying..hum..ok..let's wait..hehehe. Overall it's realy cool to watch, and best praise would go to the editor and DP. |

| DON'T OPEN THAT!! | Very goode fan flick there. I liked the first on alot and Ryan has done other stuff as well that's really cool. He's got another fight that he did called Ryan Vs. Brandon and the fighting in that one is better overall with things like speed and coreography but it was just a LS fight with no other effects. This one had the best special effects hands down, the melted wall was very cool and the missing limbs. A very good flick to be sure. definately worth downloading and hanging onto. |

| Lets see. We have a "fight" but we lack any kind of mood on the set. So the whole thing feels flat.. Choreography sucked, but the bad lighting made it worse. The effects were excellent for a fan film. The missing arm was good but in the end seen he is "holding" his "arm" that is missing, you can see the cupped hand. The biggest thing for me is maintainance of the damage throughout the video. They did a very good job there. The "damage" was always in the right place and always looked the same on said objects as they moved around. Nice attention to detail. Overall I rate it LOWER than the first one. The first one you could excuse some of the trite fighting moves and "digicamming" feel because it was their first, as well as the lighting. The second brough better FX but failed to deliver on the overall adding of lighting/mood/choreography. After all these years I would have expected better. |
