PS3 is still a fairly good little accomplishment... it's just not got the killer app to back it up... (IMHO) I doubt people would be complaining nearly so bitterly about it if it had had something along the lines of Final Fantasy XIV or Soul Caliber IV available at launch... that or working online content, which is only now starting to show up. Myabe they should take a page out of the microsoft playbook and stop letting people develop games for old platforms.

the blu ray player alone is enough. try buying one for $600

as for no good games. Well they have motorstorm(amazing) and Resistance:fall of man for starters. Ratchet and clank is coming out soon-ish and GTA:IV which are both giving me a reason to save up for the PS3.

Unfortunately for sony, peopel want to buy a PLAYstation, not a BluRayStation. an dit's not techncially 8 core. it's only got one full core, and that's used to manage to 7 mini cores that aren't.

yup, they've managed to price themselves out of their core market by a fairly asounding margin.

Plus, MotorStorm and R:FoM are nothing compared to Crackdown and GoW- having played all of those games, and GTA:IV will be multi-platform al launch, so no buying a PlayStation just to get GTA...

Ok, so the PS3 doesn't have a lot going for it at the moment, but it's gona get better.

And as for BluRayStation;
Gears of War, best looking graphics ATM, unfortunately you can finish the game in 7 hours

(cos it's on DVD)
Ratchet and Clank is going to look just as good, and be ridiculously huge due to the fact that it's on Blu-Ray, same thing with other upcoming PS3 games.

Check this out, although it's just an opinion, there's a lot of good points and it's very interesting

Unless you cram your game full of uncompressed FMVs, the format has little or no impact to the length of the game. You cannot honestly claim that GoW is short because they ran out of space.

Sorry, but thats just ****ing stupid. Thats like saying that the xbox will win the generation war between the PS1 and N64.
