Thats a laugh, especially from him.

As far as Sony are concerned, they still make decent DVD Players, but thats about it- they don't deserve their "premium" reputation any more...

Personally, I don't see any of their current products being able to justify the premium you pay for the Sony brand over similar products from Panasonic, Samsung and Pioneer...

Ok, that's taking it a bit far, at least they've apologised for it.

As for paying a premium for sony products, the PS3 is expensive due to the fact that you get a Blu-ray DVD player, Harddrive, HDMI output and an 8 core Cell processor, I think I can see why it's expensive right now. And look at the PS2, you can get it for like 1/5 of the price it was when it was released.

What he said... Sony's problems don't come from over-priced systems... its from the fact that they haven't had a must-have game in close to two years... where as Xbox has Gears of war, God of War (I), and Guitar Hero. Nintendo has Wii Sports, and a few others also. all games that would lead someone to buy the system just to play them.

I read this yesterday. It's funny- if Rockstar pulled something like this off, they wouldn't have gained nearly the same amount of hooplah that Sony had... ah, the double standard of the media...

Hmm, I wasn't so much thinking of the PS3 when I said that, more their Vaio and Bravia ranges, as well as the Net Walkman products.

It's a fact that the PS3 has been close to a disaster here in the UK so far though- most places are yet to sell through their initial runs of stock, and there are already discounts available on the high-street...

Hate to break it to everyone, but Sony's been riding on well-built reputation without very much substance for a while now...this is just another nail in the coffin in which their good name now resides (this for the most part doesn't include Sony Pictures or SCEA, I mean the Spidey movies and the PS2 have to count for something right?)

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive...
