Star Wars Prequel inconsistencies/Obi Wan's mentalness...

Ok . . . before I get into my statement just a bit about the story line continuity. I know the saga of Star Wars spans almost 30 years, and I think they really did a splendid job keeping the continuity of the story together.
However . . . . . .

Episode 5:
Obi-Wan appears to Luke in ghostly fashion, Just after Luke escapes the from the clutches of the Snow-Monster. While Luke is laying there Obi-Wan appears to him and clearly states that he should go to Degoba and learn from Yoda The Jedi Master who taught Obi-Wan . . . . !
Shouldn't that be Qui-Gon Jinn ?

I just thought I would mention that . . . .

Ok so now to my statement:
Was Obi-Wan Kenobi heartless and crule ?
Episode 3 :
The Battle scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan was awesome to say the least, And I totally realize that Obi-Wan's mission was to stop Anakin at cost. But after the movie, the events that took place at the close of that battle set me uneasy about Obi-Wan.

What he did to Anakin was un-Jedi I thought. Basically he left him badly burned, and crippled, which are injuries he himself inflicked for the most part. But after he damaged Anakin beyond any hope . . . . . he just turns and walks off. . . .

He knew Anakin was still alive or ready to die at best, so why would he just walk off and leave him in mortal pain . . . . I mean considering what Anakin had meant to him, why would he do such a cruel thing?

Even I would have put a bullet in his head to end it, and not just leave him charred and hobbled and waiting to die . . . !

I just thought that was not in character for Obi-Wan and certainly not a traight to be present in a Jedi . . . .

Hey, Vader had just aided in wiping out most of the Jedi. Give OWK a pass for just that once not being terribly charitable towards a fallen foe.

Me, I'd have used to force to push him in the lava. But I'm not the cute and cuddly kind of Jedi.

My inner child got his ass kicked by my inner juvenile delinquent...

why would he have said Qui-Gon Jinn? he never lived on dagobah... i dunno... maybe he just didn't have enough time to say:

"...yoda, the little green chap who ran the council and trained the younglings, he was kind of a mentor to all jedi and... i mean he didn't actually train me, Qui-Gon Jinn did, but he's a ghost like me and you've never heard of him before in the previous film either, but thats besi...." *vanishes*

"bennnn?"

so he just described yoda as his master, which is true, from a certain point of view.

Jinn was probably invented after the films anyway, soo... there's worse things wrong with the starwars films tbh...

as for why he didn't finish off vader while he had the chance, perhaps he was too scared to get close? I mean skywalker was pretty pissed at the time... doesn't anger lead to increased power for a sith? or something... again more bs... it's annoying that lucas doesn't make any effort to explain it himself though, in the film.

I could totaly understand Obi-Wans feelings but Jedi means something greater than the norm. The Jedi, no matter how "upset" have to control their actions and feels so as not to tred the dark path. Clearly Obi-Wan was hell bent on cruelty . . . which is anti Jedi

He could have just said everything he did say . . . just left out the last sentence "The Jedi Master who instructed me . . . . . "

I dunno, there's a difference between cruelty and simply letting events progress. My suggestion would've been cruel. Obi wan was more...I dunno, indifferent?

Actually He was right saying Yoda trained him... As Qui-Gon died, the next higher mentor of Obi-Wan was Yoda...

As the root for Qui-Gon is... Qui-God was the padawan of Dooku (yes, the Count)... As he retired, Yoda became the mentor of Qui-Gon... So it was the same for Obi-Wan...

About the issue of Obi-Wan and Annie... I can understand that... He yelled at him with all his sadness and all his sorrow: "YOU WHERE THE CHOOEN ONE!!!" and went off... Really no real good background story for a Jedi that is considered as noble as Yoda and Luke laterly...

Hmh... Maybe he had no time? He can feel by the Force, right? Maybe he felt that Amidala and her children are in certain health danger and so he said: "Forget that crap, gotta save the future."

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

Or maybe he was heartbroken, and pissed, and wanted to get the hell off of a slope of burning hot volcanic sand. Think about it. If Anakin caught fire, and OWK wasn't that far away, just how comfy cozy do you think it was for OWK to be standing there?

In EPS 1 when Qui-gon stated that he would take Shywalker as his Paddawan, Yoda told him he couldn't have 2 padawans, it was at this point he released Obi-Wan as a full Jedi
So theoretically Obi was not training any longer . . . .

That's a good point, very good indeed, but I considered the dinamic . . .
Obi-Wan and Anni were together a long time . . . they had seen a lot of battles together . . . they were like "Brothers". Amidala could have been hanging on by a thread, I find it hard to just cut and run from someone who meant as much to each other . .

just me but that is a very good way to look at that cituation.
