Image Signatures?

I have recieved several request over the years to allow for images within signatures. At the moment, we do not currently allow signatures to contain images. We did this for the following reasons:

1. We felt it kept the site more organized and visually less eye straining.
2. We can not control what images are actually posted - we could remove them - but you see the problem. You can get some really strange images. Look at the avatars as an example.
3. We COULD control the max size of signature images.
4. We COULD setup the system so that only people who have more then X amount of posts are able to use photo/image signatures.

So I pose the question/poll to YOU the membership: Would you like to have the option to use a image signature?

That would be nice to allow also it would give the member a more personel touch to there post. Perhaps a certian number of posts to obtain the privilege would also be a good idea

I use image sigs elsewhere, but I think sfm is less about the poster, and more about the post . . . if you know what I mean . . .

Definately no to image signatures. Even small images can make the forum look incredibly messy and hard to read.

I in the no camp, just make a mess if everyone has them, if a few people had them then it would not be to bad.

you also got to take into account people that don't have boradband, it would take forever for the page to load up if everyone had one.

I'm not sure... I like how "clean" is this forum as it is...
But if we will allow only a specified size (small) like 400x60 pixel?

Thank you, namaste and good luck www.jagthesite.com____Ramielarium____My Blog!

With the option of having an avatar, I don't really see the point of having an image in the signature. Besides, without them, I can easily scroll back through old posts of a thread and find the images relevant to that thread.
