Way too big for emoticons.

nice standard round emoticons are better. no need to go overboard with huge flashy sci-fi emoticons because it's a scifi site. and nothign is worse than seeing posts with 2cm space betweenthe lines ebcause peopel fill them with huge/tall emoticons.

No.

If you add BSG ones then the Trek fans will want Trek ones too. Then the Wars fans will get uppity, the B5 lot will complain and the SG-1/A lot will start crying. Best to keep the emotes generic IMO

No - for the same reasons spudmonkey said.

They do look fantastic, but we could become overwelmed with the things.

(That said I think we could do with a few more generic ones)

how about no?

I think HawkMan, and Spudmonkey said it best

I hate to say it, but I too vote no.

Not that they're not good - though the meaning of a few of them was hard to discern - but that they'd both clutter things up AND lead to emoticon escalation.

Anyway, that's my 2 centavos.

I'd have to chime in with a no as well... and I'm a big BSG fan... for the same reasons as all above... and I would rather not have this place look like my mom's emails... lol

if someone really wants to use something like that or anything... they can post it in their message with the image tag linking to it like you did in the first post.

Link to that image btw...
