Spyware doctor- Your opinion needed

So i have read a bunch of reviews and they say Spyware Doctor is great and all, but i wanted to get another opinion. Do/have any of you used this before and how did you like it?

I use Adaware and Spybot, and together it seems they nix most anything that comes in.

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive...

I've used Spyware Doctor for about two years and I'm really happy with it. It uses a lot of different scanners to do a comprehensive system scan and finds a lot of things that some of my other programs don't always catch. I have Norton Anti-Virus and Ad-Aware SE, and Spyware Doctor usually finds things that they miss. Unfortunately it isn't free anymore, but I think its worth the money. Are you planning on running any other anti-virus/anti-spyware programs with it?

I currently have the free version of Spybot, but it didnt find half as many things that Spyware doctor did.

I might get the Anti-virus upgrade for Spyware Doctor for an extra $10.

But is t worth the 30 bucks in your opinion?

I've found the free version of SUPERAntispyware pretty good at getting a lot of the malware - that's a definite recommendation from me *nods*

I bought Spyware Doctor and it flat out would not work after I entered the serial number they gave me. The demo version would work, but once I added the serial number it became nonfunctional.

My inner child got his ass kicked by my inner juvenile delinquent...

That's pretty strange, Jedilaw. Did you report the problem? It's worked perfectly for me, and my computer is getting pretty tired. Dallidas, I personally am very happy with it and I think it's worth the thirty dollars a year. Since I've been using it I've had a really good track record with it. If you got the extra money lying around, maybe give it a try. PC Tools updates it constantly, and its very reliable.

I wouldn't touch Spyware Doctor for anything! My wife had a virus on her laptop earlier this week that kept popping up random websites and telling her her computer was infected. It kept taking her to ads for spyware doctor saying that if she paid for it, it would get rid of all her viruses.

I'm positive that Spyware Doctor was responsible for the popup webpages and was basically holding her laptop hostage unless she paid up! I worked for about three hours with adaware and her anti-virus program and was finally able to isolate the trojan file and get rid of it. Her laptop is now back to normal.

Wow, that's some weird s&!t. Never had anything like that happen before. It was more than likely a trojan meant to hijack the computer using a well-known product as cover. Damn hackers!
