Pirates At world's end reviews (spoilers)

Well...just watch At world's end just now and find it rather enjoyable.

In terms of story, it flows more smoothly compared to the second one, the effects is also much better, as well as the actions.

Although, there are LESS funny momments due to jack having less screen time. Also, I'm a little dissapointed that there wasn't much FLEET action.

Ship battles? Yes, there's plenty of it...but FLEET action...not much at all

And do remember to stay all the way until the credits end...make your money worth it.

And I think all you people here will love the SFX...

Does this movie make up for the feeling that the last one was just half a movie?

Nope! it was an alright movie though just seemed like it didn't know where it was going, they dragged out the story then tried to rap it up in the last 20 minutes! For any of you with kids be warned, this is not a child friendly movie! It's far to complicated for what it is and way more darker and violent than the other two movies, plus there are some very surreal moments of the film that would make the kids ask far to many questions. On a plus Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Depp are great along with the special effects (apart from one dodgy composting scene, and way to many slow motion shots) and a few little nods to the previous films that make you go "oh yeah, so thats what thats for" and "I remember him/that"! I got the feeling that I was watching the film through somebody else or I was dreaming about myself watching the film, It was Pirates of the Caribbean but not Pirates of the Caribbean, if that makes sense! It was the same in every way to the other films but so much different to them at the same time! Anyway it was a alright film but could of been so much more!

the movie is quite confusing, i spent most of the movie explaining the meaning of things to my friends. it seems like you needed to study the other movies to 'get' this one.

*spoiler*

i hated the marriage scene. its ridiculous.. the thing i did like that most people might not pick up on is the nod to the original Pirates ride during the intro scene in Singapore. oh, and the part with jack in the locker is great!

*/spoiler*

overall i liked the movie. worth seeing once in the cinema and then again whenever its on tv

I'm apparently going to see it with a group and IN COSTUME... damn, why I get myself into these messes...

Anyway, the reviews I've read say that it's still arse-numbing long and as boring as the really boring bits from Lord of the Rings. However, on the good side, it did say that Jonny Depp and Geoffery Rush were so good that if you just concentrate on them, you're hopping around all excited about the concept of Pirates 4!

Can't believe that this cost $300 Million to make though, that's $20 Million more than it cost to make the whole Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It's an OK film but isn't brilliant by any means !!

It was fun to watch... Could have been better. The music was better I must say. Its like Zimmer saved the good stuff for this one and just hacked together the last.

Bla, Hans Zimmer. I dislike his work as much as some of you dislike Uwe Boll.

SImle reason realy. LOTR and no real star power in it. Johnny Deep, orlando and Keira, cost more in a single movie, the the whole cast of LOTR for 3 movies. that's the main thing we tend to foget been involved in FX and all.
