| What do you consider "Commercial?" Hi. Haven't been long round these parts ![]() I'd like to know what do the modelers here consider to be "commercial" when they state something is not for commercial use. Just asking because a small group of guys, including myself, are building a mod for a space flight simulator called X3. This mod will in no way be created to receive revenue. It's simply a community project made by gamers for gamers. And was wondering if "commercial" basically meant for sale. I have no problem in crediting anyone here, but I've found a lot of useful downloads here, and before I start emailing a few dozen artists, I'd figure I'd ask this question. Yes, I'm thinking of posting a nice little thread in the "Looking for Modelers" section. |

| This time you see | It's true that "commercial" in the strict sense means "to make money from" in most people's definition when sharing 3D models, but it may be viewed that using them in a widely-distributed medium qualifies as commercial. I'd still have a word with the Mesh creators, if for nothing more than the sake of politeness and to cover your back. |
