New MacBook Pros with LED-backlit screens! W00t!

Apple has today released the new MacBook Pros with LED-backlit screens, along with the new Santa Rosa Intel platform, with the base model at 2.2 GHz duo CPUs and 2 GB of RAM standard, starting at $1,999:

http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/

I hope to have mine by Friday, Monday, or Tuesday, depending on the will of the almighty FedEx gods.

Order fast before they run out

New Setup: Mac Pro 3.2 GHz 8-core (25.6 GHz), 16 GB RAM, Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.3, Maya + Pixar's RenderMan, 2560x1600 30" Samsung Monitor = Heaven. Is it worth it? Yes; it's actually cheaper than an equivalently-configured Dell.... swchweet.

The 70-200mm f2.8 L IS telephoto per chance? It's definitely my favorite lens and one of the best ever made.

Nice!

That's Nikon's identical twin to my lens, except mine is Canon.

I switched to Canon when the 5D came out because the full frame sensor gives even tighter DOF on 2.8 apertures.

Here's two shots with my Canon 5D fitted with the 70-200 f2.8 L IS lens, notice the awesome bokeh on the second as well:

hmmm, wish I could justify the 2.8 L, might just be able to stretch to the f4 L if I put off the new tower.....

As far as the MacBook Pro's are concerned, it's nice to see a price drop on them as well as the MacBooks- Apple now has a very convincingly priced notebook range.

This time you see- like holy water, it only burns you faster than you'll ever dry.

Dude...even making 100k a year i could'nt afford a House like that, but got to remember that morgage here are between 20 to 25 years, and you need 25% cash down for a house. so a couple that brings say 110k combined, wish is ver good here since the cost of living is low compared to anywhere in the US realy, could afford a house between 135k to 165k.

That's why i'm still in a ****ing appartment and raison money like a cash cow. you need a minimum of 40k down payment these days for a small house
