^^
IIRC that´s from shortly after ST7 when SFX guys relabeled the model because they figured the next ship might probably be of the same class. But instead we got John Eaves´ stretched flounder.

It's from an show on the sci-fi channel a few months back when Paramount auctioned off props/models from the star trek tv shows going all the way back to the TOS show. That enterprise model is the hero model that was used in the show for the close ups. It went for around 600,000 bucks; I can't remember the exact figure.

@Tovette: You might want to take a closer look. The video from which those screencaps were made was part of the bonus features on the TNG DVDs.

Do you know if the one that went for 600,000 was also the one that was trashed by the Chinese restaurant? I have all the pictures from the auction but i can't tell if it's the high detail 4ft model or the low detail 8ft model, or if i'm even correct in my thinking of the models.

The hero model which lit up and was like 8 or 9 feet long was bought by a private investor.

The model was hung over an exhaust vent and ... er.. the ship went to warp.
