And then - huh, that's odd, they made a mistake with the bridge tower like I did with my old ISD mesh...wait... Go figure: ![]() ![]() The comparison is with v2 mesh, which isn't released. Guess that was a good move eh? The one in the trailer is the one I released on scifi3d: Sci-Fi 3D: The Ultimate 3D Sci-Fi Resource Go figure... Anyways, there's not much to do about it, but I would like to point it out for any out there who cares. A line in the credits would be nice if they use the mesh, but the game's not out yet... | SFM Guru | Yeah what is the mistake, I am curious as well, also are you implying that used your model for the trailer?

As for similarities, I think it's conclusive. The small details that are present on Ansel's ISD, but different from the studio model, are present on the ISD in that clip. The only way they would have matching inaccuracies is if they used his mesh. Just for example, my ISD has a ton of inaccuracies, but they are different from the ones in Ansel's mesh. No two people will make the same mistake in a work of art. Note, when I refer to inaccuracies in Ansel's mesh, I do not mean that as any criticism of the quality of the mesh. It was and is an absolutely amazing piece of work. Which some arsetard at LucasArts has now passed off as his own model-making, no doubt. EDIT: Dave, I agree about the textures, they are different from Ansel's. It appears that they took the panel greebles and made a bump map and probably a diffuse texture, which they then tweaked by adding some of the shading variation that one can see on the studio model's panels.

Downloads: 0 Uploads: 0 ![]() | This is the initial feature that drew my attention, beyond all the detail similarities: The angle from the trailer is marked in red in the trailer, my v1 mesh, and my v2: ![]() The prow trench detail is actually even more conclusive - of course I cannot currently get my v1 mesh to render on my work machine. When I get it set up I will post the results. The textures are definitely different; but the v1 I released had no textures anyway, and they would've had to add it for the extra-detailed prow shot. |

![]() So now the question is, do you want to approach LucasArts about at least getting a "shout out" in the credits? Maybe they did it by mistake, maybe on purpose, maybe an artist lied, hard to say. But it seems like the only decent thing for them to do (decent as opposed to legal, b/c legally you are SOL) would be to include your name in the credits. In an ideal world they would kick in a new Xbox 360 and a copy of the game, but that ain't the world we live in.
