Question - trying to collapse forum sub-sections that I don't normally use. This feature used to work up until a month or two ago, now all the subsections remain visible and don't remember my settings. Tried this on both PC and Mac, both Firefox and IE using the blue/black skin. Cookies are all turned on and I don't see this problem on other forums running the same engine. Thoughts?

I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

The old setup used to tell who else was viewing whatever thread I was reading. Has this feature gone bye-bye, or is it something that's still being worked on?

It's one of the many things I like about this site.

it's still here, but it only appears below the quick reply box

might be nice if we could define where that appears, so each member could make it as prominent(or less), as each person sees fit.

for example, I'd like to see that at both the top and bottom of the screen(dont ask, I'm just weird like that).

just remember the more features/customization hacks Ace puts in, the more likely the site will get bloated and run a lot slower

that's partly what caused the frequent downtimes a couple months ago . . . one of the hacks wasn't playing nice with the database, and really made things not fun

Dunno if other have this but if I click on the newest post arrow button (last post) it always takes moe to posts on or about 04-14-2008 vs to the newest or last newest in a thread. Cleared cache manualy on 4 systems and it does it on all 4. (various flavors of xp sp1 2 and xp64.)

FF2 has borked patches and huge memory leaks. Client choice has no relation here.
I deleted the entire cache dir on all 4 machines. As stated earlier. It is site related.
It is only on select threads. I dunno

Anyhoo I also noticed that my large images that are linked in are not resizing

:scratchhead:
They were working I think prior to the downtime recently. I havent done anything to the system here between them working and not working. I have a feeling the images are too big, and if this IS putting strain on the server I will change them to be links (file size in KB is really low like less than 200kB. just rez is high 3200X)
