| Better Dead Than Red | Starhunter - Canadian SF Show I bought the first season set at BestBuy, looked interesting and since I've never heard of it before I thought I'd give it a try for some reason the first episode I saw was episode 6, so that threw me for a loop I guess I put the wrong disc in . . . First impressions of the characters I like Caravaggio and Percy, they're more interesting than the rest. Caravaggio is wierd looking, just a floating hologram torso I wonder what he looked like when the ship was a cruise liner . . .Percy reminded me of Kaylee from Firefly . . . maybe it was the pigtails . . . Dante just seemed like a pushover, though that was most likely a result of the mind control ![]() and Luc seems like a snarly, no nonsense, boring forerunner of Zoe just from the first . . .err . . sixth episode, I see a lot of similarities between this show and Firrefly, though I think that mainly has to do with the format of the show nonmilitary ship, civilian crew, no interstellar travel (that I know of) etc I could have sworn I put in disc one, then hit 'play all' . . . hmm . . . just did a quick google, and some places it says the episode I saw was episode 6 and another place says it was episode 13 . . . now I'm really confused . . . [edit] okay . . . found a correct episode order list on wikipedia . . . seems the dvds are in production order |

| I got the set. Actually, I splurged on both seasons, season 2 being Starhunter2300. Yes, there are a lot of similarities to Firefly. BUT... it is poor production and bad direction. Still, I am slogging through the episodes. What can I say, I'm a Space movie/tv junkie. Micheal Pare has had better parts... no, really. Stop laughing, he has. Ok so mabye Blood Rayne wasn't a wise choice... I really want to like this series. It has good premise and a pretty cool ship. |

| Better Dead Than Red | I like the show so far ![]() it's dumb, and the stories are lame, but I like the characters even though they can be a bit wooden at times . . . like their prisoners escape and they're like 'ho hum . . . oh hey, you're out of your cell. go back in now haha.' the CG is worse than B5 and this show was made several years later ![]() I like campy shows once in a while |

| Precisely what I was going for! Thank-you. I got Babylon 5: Crusade at the same time (What can I say, Costco had a good deal). Is it any good? I liked Space Above and Beyond, but even it has weak episodes and I found the acting wooden in it too. But I liked it anyway. If you can overlook the flaws of a lot of these shows, they aren't that bad. |
