We are seeing an increase in necroposts latelly. What do you think about to lock the threads older than, letīs say... two months ?

I was thinking the same thing. Everyone seems to get so pissed when someone brings up an old thread why not just lock them. I almost necroposted one time, glad i caught myself before i put myself through the guillotine.

The individuals that are necroposting mostly seem to be new members.

Is it possible to lock the thread to all but the thread originator? That way the artist of a WIP could revive a dormant thread, but is would stop necro posting. Then it's a matter of deciding what is an appropriate period to lock a thread.

I am more irked by people who post every little nurnie they build as a new thread, even when it's all part of the same project.

I think it would be a good idea to have it locked to all but the thread creator

I pity the fool!

I still don't understand what's so frustating about necroposts.

* When they broke open molecules, they found they were only stuffed with atoms, But when they broke open atoms, they found them stuffed with explosions.

Yep, couldn't agree more Dave.

Nano, it's frustrating when a thread you're interested in has new posts and you think it's an update only to find out it's some numptie posting a 'cool' in a six month old thread.

Updates are great when they're genuine but posting in ancient threads when there are so many great new threads is annoying not to mention frustrating.

His Wife is a figment, he's married to his right hand, the twat.

1) It pushes new work off the bottom of the page.

2) It harrasses the artist. "Where are the updates? Are you busy with life right now? You should be building this for my entertainment!"
