I'm inclined to agree, this is riding the line on the TOS. But it's talking about fictional religions soo...

Anywho, who's to say it couldn't? Heck, a bunch of people tried to make the Jedi faith a recognised religion by petition.

PS- Keep the real religions of the world out of this thread.

Actually I have a feeling that the Jedi religion would probably be more authentic a religion then say that of certain modern day religon thats been on the news alot. I'm not going to say what lets try to keep out of the religion taunting.

Anyway the Lords of Kobal are based on the dead religion of the ancient greeks. So its possible that Earth greek and roman religion probably came from Kobal lords or at least survivors of the 13th colony.

Behold our fleets and armies, mighty, proud, and alert. over 6.7 billion soldiers to lead at my command. May the gods show mercy to my enemies that face me for I shall show none. Maverick Eagle Leader of the Terran Alliance Army at the battle of Alliance Gate

Nope, New Zealand. After that Jedi was specifiaclly outlined in all commonwealth countries census as unacceptable in the Religion section.
