blender So you want to be a Blender head.

So you want to be a Blender head eh?
Well here is my advice to you good people of these forums. First you will want to go to the site and get the program and it is a free to use program and it works very nicely. Just ask Master Crimsonline A.K.A. Superman.

Well to cut to the chase here is the link to obtain the software.
blender.org - Home

And here is a tutorial on how to make things happen.
http://www.blender.org/tutorials-help/tutorials/ "Yeah I know SAME SITE! But it is the only place where I can find a updated tutorial. "

So if you feel like doing such... GET BLENDING and make some good art to contribute to this wonderful place

To you fine and good and just moderators...

If this is in the wrong place please move it to the correct one

I love the Blender! Thanks for the tip of the hat, Mauiman.

I downloaded Blender, worked through the "30 Minutes to your first animation" tutorial in the Blender manual, and then just hacked away. Within a few days, I was building my first starship. Within a month, I felt comfortable with the program.

That first ship became the Massachusett-Class Scout Vessel eventually, but everything on that ship was built three or more times, as I learned better ways of doing things. It took a willingness to ask stupid questions, an idea of what I wanted to do, and the advice of the great Blenderheads here at SFM. Sphynx, Four Mad Men, and TallGuy, along with a fistfull of others, offered the pointers I needed to learn the program.

Blender rocks, yea boy. Been using it for...*Thinks*
no less than 7 years now I guess..lol, but yea, there is STILL a LOT about this program I know nothing about. It's insane.

Other good tutorials are right here on this forum the "Blender for the Feint of Heart" in the Dojo forum. It's a great program.
(And yea, it makes me happy to see so many people here using it, even if it does mean I'm no longer the only one, LMAO!!!)

It's a very powerful app, worth every penny. And more, come to think of it.

To those who find the UI complex and difficult, I say "show me a 3D App with a simple UI." And then I say "What, like Photoshop is simple or something?"
