Great Docking/Landing Sequences

I'm cutting together a reference reel of various docking/landing/crashing sequences from movies and TV shows. This is for a project which involves a ship docking, so the idea is to figure out what's been done before so I don't repeat it

My favorite so far is docking at Zion from the Matrix: Reloaded as pictured:

I like how they cut to the door machinery and show some insight into the mechanics of what's going on.

Similarly, I like the MegaMaid transformation sequence from Space Balls for the same reasons:

I also have listed the Death Star docking sequence from Star Wars A New Hope, the docking/crashing sequences from Star Trek III and V, as well as the K19 dock sequence:

annndd the crashing sequence from Pitch Black, the take off from Lost in Space, and the landings from Serenity.

This is just out of my own dvd collection, so I'm wondering what you guys can think of. Any cool docking sequences you like?

[spoilers]What about the Atlantis Splashdown sequence in Lifeline?[/spoilers]

I also liked the Enterprise-D docking sequence from 11001001

Current WIPS: None 'cause I'm a lazy bastard.

I haven't seen that Atlantis episode (I assume it's the most recent) but I did find a clip of that sequence. I also like the TNG docking one, even though it rehashes a lot of background plates from STIII. The matte painting they did of the D is exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for, though. I love the people walking through the gangway.

In the star trek TNG game, a final Unity. They kinda copied the docking sequence from ST III, but updated it etc and it looked pretty good.

For landing, deffinitely Voyager when it crashed on that winter planet. Though it wasn't technically a landing, it sure was cool.

Oh if we're naming Crashes.

The death of the moldy crow in Dark Forces II, Jedi Knight

The crash landing of Serenity, as in said film

The Opening Scene in Pitch Black

The shuttle docking scene in 2001: Space Odyssey is a classic. As is the shuttlepod sequence in ST:TMP.

The Colonial Viper and Shuttle crashes in Gun on Ice Planet Zero.

The end of Space Quest.

The nacelles on that ship bother me (watch the bussards), but it's still pretty cool

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive...

That ship looks like it's been between a rock and a hard place, literally. Well done nonetheless.

If its landing, two classics are the shuttle landing on endor, with the wings folding up, and then the underside catching the lights from the platform.

And the bird of prey landing on vulcan at the end of STIII, with the sun and the spotlights, which they topped again when it took off in the next one.
