| SFM Guru | a series based off of that new Frontiers book series would be cool. or something waaaayyy into trek future, since we're already catching up with the trek timeline temporally. |

Hell I could see Patrick Steward pull off his role with much more gusto than Frakes could as Riker. Thats sad when you compare ages too. Star Trek as a TV and Big Screen franchise is dead ... dried up, like a well which has been over used in the desert that is big name media. Face it. Even if they get a good start, some bs story about ratings or money cocked up by execs or someone in power who didn't like what they saw would find a way to sabotage it. How many series have we had since Next Generation? How many have NOT suffered ratings problems? You can only do so many TV shows about the same thing before someone who was a fan says... "Isn't this the same story but a different ship with alternate uniforms?" Execs would rather dump a little $ into "Reality TV" because they don't have to pay writers, or stage construction, or other frills which are seen as negative income. Then we have stupid people who have no lives whatsoever make up for it by sitting on their arses watching others do what they can't. It's gonna get so bad that your gonna start seeing live coverage of someone on their way to work via handheld with rebroadcasts at prime time. "Oh wait, this is a new episode ... he buys a CHEESE DANISH with his coffee that day!!!". Nope. Star Trek is dead as was declared in many other threads where it was brought up what was next. lol |
