So true! I stand corrected! Yet he needs a better movie!

Born to be Wilde. And to be the slowest modeller in this galaxy.

Eh, I guess it depends if you prefer something dull and everyday over something imaginative and stylised. I prefer my comic movies stylised thanks. Its more in keeping with the comic book medium.

Batman Begins lacked imagination. And it had a technobabble plot worthy of Star Trek Voyager. Gotham City was a HUGE disappointment, they could have shot on location in New York or Chicago and saved themselves a lot of money.

Tim Burton's Batman movies seemed to have gone from comic page to screen without having to pass through dreary reality on the way. I admire that.

That said, Begins is no less "correct" an interpretation. But it is just that, an interpretation. Give me Tim Burton's vision for Batman any day.

The problem is the 1989 theme doesn't suit the new series.

It was shot on location in Chicago. They spent 6 months there filming on this movie.

I mean, they needn't have bothered with those expensive effects shots of the city if they were just going to make it as plain and ordinary as any city. The dark expressionist gothic look of Burton's films knocks Begins' uninspired production design into a cocked hat.

Burton's gotham looks...too cartoon like...

But then...Batman begins will always be better than Joel's version of batman.

With this series that was bit of the point. It was ment to look like a real city that could exist in America today. Now that the "freaks" are starting to come out, maybe Nolan will have the cities look changed to reflect that in the next movie.

Though i'll agree its not my absolute favorite look of the City. My prefer look is the 30's looking art deco style from the Animated Series.

He might get it. There's another Punisher film due out next year.

Yet another link to the trailer. (I assume it's the same cam job as the other links)

I'll have to admit, I think Heath Ledger is going to be awesome as the Joker.
