An awesome set of hi-res photos of the original Battlestar Galactica studio model has just been posted on Resinilluminati. There are hundreds of shots, very nice quality. There's even a downloadable zip file with all of the shots in full resolution, clocking in at over 500 megs. These images have been in very limited circulation in the practical modeling community for years, and now they are finally available to the general public.

JL: Is that a forum for real model builders? Just curious what type of community it is. I'm assuming that they are old shots that are being released now? or is the original model still around that someone took pics of in the past few years?

Either way... gotta register to see them when I get home!

I managed to get about half of the images saved before I heard about the zip file
right click, save image as, right click, save image as, right click, save image as, right click, save image as, etc

The majority of members are practical modelers, but there are a few CG types lurking about. I'm one of the mods over there.

Oh cr*p, you just reminded me! The Star Wars show is coming to Philly in a week or so... I have to make plans to go down there in next month or so to shoot some pics of the models.
