Your thoughts on the cartoon Star Wars film coming out? - Page 2 - Scifi-Meshes.com

I doubt I'll be watching, not that I have anything against star wars in general or the prequel story line, I think its just that my tastes have changed.
I'm really curious why Lucas keeps going back to that same galaxy far, far away. It can't be exclusively the money, God knows he has plenty of that. I'm cynical enough to think that it is about ego; since the prequel trilogy was almost universally hailed as "meh", he feels he has to prove he still has the magic.

I really wish their would be more original sci-fi, I'm personally quite bored with trek, wars, BSG, etc. The same stuff again and again and again. Why does everything have to be part of a franchise? And don't say its because of the costs involved, I don't remember their being a "Saving Private Ryan 2: Electric Boogaloo".

I don't know, maybe I'm just a grumpy old bugger

Are they re-doing some of the episodes for the previous clone wars tv show?

Looking forward to these...I'll see them in the theater if they happen to show as a short before a movie, though I doubt I'd go to a theater just to see them by themselves.

Personally, I'd like to see all new characters with new storylines used in the SW universe. I really don't see a need to re-visit characters we've known for decades.

They are releasing a pilot (series?) to the TV show as a theater release, then the next season or two will be on TV.

I would love to see the thrawn trilogy animated or big screen! they might even be able to get the original actors to do the voices, make it more authentic!

you know I realy like star wars and I think that this is just as good as any of the other movies except that George is not the one directing thats all I have to say so yeah
