Yeah, but that was... Nemesis.

Episode I wasn't Shakespeare, but it at least held together. Nemesis - doesn't.

I stood in line for Star Trek VI, Generations and for First Contact.

What I hope is Abrams gets full liberty to do whatever it likes. One gets the impression Nemesis was sunk partly because of the ST franchise group correcting the director's every little move.

Even if I don't like how the MI movie series has been oriented from a team adventures TV series to a Cruise plus nobodies (character-wise they are walking and talking clichés) adventures movies, MI:3 had a distinct high energy, plus one of the best openings in an action movie. it lacked some grandeur, but I actually think Abrams would do a "new Bond" good if that was ever offered to him. "Cloverfield" will be an interesting test.

STARTREK.COM*:*Article

NOW they get an actor like Bana to play the villain. What the **** were they doing in Star Trek Nemesis?

Oh, and Uhura and Chekov are also already cast (dunno if that's old news).

Trying to re-do Star Trek II, doing it very, very badly. The villain seemed like a whiny little bitch, hardly up to Khan's standards.

Khan: For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!

Shinzon: I need a blood transfusion!

My inner child got his ass kicked by my inner juvenile delinquent...

Mission Impossible 3 and Lost are both very bad and Cassino Royale had one good scene. Personally, I'm not holding my breath for this one.

As for Nemesis, the whole plot and acting of the movie was completely sub-par in comparison to the other ones. The only good part of the movie is the battle in the middle, cause it's really cool to see the Enterprise being used to its full extent
