SO not happy with episode 10... the ending.. dammit have to wait nearly a year?! its like they just held a cookie in front of me, stole it away before i could grab it, ate it and then kicked me in the nuts for good measure!.

maybe the fifth cyclon is on earth where it contacted and repaired starbucks viper and sent her back to the fleet and is awaiting their return. who else would have put in the location of earth or even know how to hide the information in the viper that way. p.s clue roslin was never to set foot on earth she is just to lead the last of her people to it .The dying lead will show her people the way to earth but never set foot on it first season. she set foot on this planet so it's not earth but terra. last human settlement before earth where the cyclons killed these people in the first cyclon war (the new series caprica spoiler) as they chased them to earth that explains how the finale five know where earth is.

Starbucks crashed viper transponder is what led them to the Earth and the reason why her miracle viper was the only thing that could detect it- they are linked. Starbuck is going to incounter her dead self on Earth.

thing is...more happened in Ep10 then in the last 5 episdes....that, to me is poor writting.

Actually, we can count as established that they haven't got such a thing, given that episode in which Starbuck was stranded in a lifeless planet and everybody was trying to locate her, to no avail. A "life sign detector" a la Star Trek is too technobabblish a thing: you can detect EM and radiation signals, thermal emissions, artificial lights, optically or by RADAR-discernible artificial structures and people concentrations, etc., within distance limits, but not such a thing as Trekian "life forms".

Anyway, they would just go down and look precisely because of all their conventional sensors not getting anything looking like active human presence, one would think.

don't they have telscopes or radio atttenna you would think that a star faring race would have visible signs like cities capable of being seen from space and radio transmissions.
