Melak It does come with the Supreme FX card, but It's direct attachment to on board sound!

and I've never seen sound enable board with Quality!

By the way are you using XFi Music with VISTA ULTIMA 64?
Does it play games as well?
And does the sound have quality behind it?

I'm using Server 2008 64bit(so essentially Vista), and I haven't had a single problem with the card.
Except that the front panel connectors aren't that compatible to my Antec 900, and I'm too lazy to order the required cable or make one myself.

The XFi Gamer has the same specs but is smaller, I don't know about the front panel connectors on that one.

Plays games, music, and all that fun stuff perfectly

How do you like 2008?

Also how do you like Alchemy?
I keep reading it's a resource HOG any truth to that?

I love the OS. What's Alchemy? I suppose some creative software? I only use the driver package + configuration utility.

Alchemy is the OPEN AL sound drives for direct sound that VISTA took away because Creative would no longer pay them for!
My take!

You know creative declaration of independence from MS in 2003 statement!
It would no long pay MS a license fee for there operating systems!
I heard that OPEN AL works but can really tie recourses up if you don't have at least 2

Hm. Gotta download that BtRL demo version again, it uses OpenAL sound. I will inform you of the results

Edit: After reading a little on the subject, I'm quite confused. Anyway, I think with the system you have in mind, there should me more ressources than some makeshift audio driver hack thingy can hog?

Well, I can tell you that using the Supreme FX card that came with the ASUS Maximus Formula hasn't caused any issues for me in Vista. Including BtRL...I've heard of very few major issues with Vista's sound system...There were some complaints about sound 'skipping' under high CPU usage, but I can render images with all 4 cores at 100% while playing an MP3 with no issues whatsoever... *shrugs* Perhaps it's another case of people trying to use older hardware with Vista - Which is never really a good idea...

And Soundblaster are still notorious to my knowledge as far as their extremely poor support for their hardware back-catalogue (which is why I didn't even bother mucking around with my Audigy 2 Platinum Ex card when I upgraded). Having said that, any soundcard made in the last 12 months will almost certainly support Vista with little issues...

COMCO are you using the version 1 or 2 of the FX?

You also right about Creative god I heard a brand new X card of theres and it was the worst sounding card I heard.

I thinking of getting ASUS Xonar DX 7.1 it got the highest rating for vista sound out there any thoughts?

DARKONE () - It's a version 2 card...Personally I have no experience with the Xonar but with the success I've had with the FX, I'd be surprised if it was anything other than excellent. Make sure you read a few decent reviews (which it sounds like you may hav already) and if they're saying good things, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to get another ASUS card...Absolutely no issues with mine whatsoever and it sounds great in direct 5.1 mode...
