| Blender 2.46 | Thoughts on Big Buck Bunny (BBB) Just finished watching Big Buck Bunny and was amazed and entertained by it! One of the stated goals of the project was to emulate the look of a Pixar film. I think they did that in spades. I was amazed by the rich vibrant color in the movie, and the characters definitely had that "Pixar" quality to them. You may remember the first open-source movie, Elephants Dream. This movie is leaps and bounds beyond it, if only in the area of crafting a much more enjoyable movie experience. Anyone else who's seen it have any thoughts on it? P.S. if you've only watched it on Vimeo or Youtube, it would be well worth your time and bandwidth to download one of the High Quality versions, the compressed video streams just don't do it justice. |

It's so cool to see this done with all free OpenSource software, especially in a day and age where huge companies like Adobe and AutoDesk are buying up everything. I loved the look and feel of the short. Congrats to all that were involved! Big Buck Bunny Big Buck Bunny Download You can also support the project by buying the DVD. Quote:
