Cheap Pci-express graphics card

Im looking to update my graphics card. Im currently running the dell factory card(slow as hell i've learned). Im not looking for uber performance( i only have a pentium 4) just something that will give me some punch is good quality and relatively cheap.

thanks

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

there are a lot under $100, but you should definitely look through the list and find one that has the specs you want and the price you want . . . some of those cards are really cheap, but they're also pretty weak . . . the first one in the list there for $20 has the same specs as my integrated laptop graphics, so the best things to look at are the Memory and clock speed . . . a 8800 with 1GB of memory will work far better than a 8800 with 256mb . . . etc

What determines how much power i need? I only have a 300mw power supply and some of the cards seem like they would need more power.

Does this card look good?

Thanks for all the help guys!

Well, the card you just linked us to has a decent performance.
Would be able to play Doom 3 (high settings with AA) at 44 fps for example.

Go here: www.tomshardware.com

Click on charts, select Desktop charts, then scroll down and have it display ALL cards.
Then select a desired benchmark test from the list (whether a program or a game) and it will display just how well the 8600 GT performs.
As I said, Doom 3 should be able to play nicely at high settings (I extracted the info from tomshardware site).

So given the price/performance ratio ... yes I would say it's a rather good card.
However, it is questionable if your power supply would be enough for that graphics card.
You might want to take a look into buying a 400 W (minimum) power supply
