Best tool for space battle's?

Hi all, I was wondering what in your opinion was the best tool for the 3D space battle's animation and so forth, 3DS Max or Newtek's Lightwave 3d or another program, I currently use 3DS Max and have reasonable experiance with that, but i thought as Newtek's Lightwave 3d is used quite alot i thought maybe its easier sort of format to use?

Thanks
Joergen

and what about particule flow ?

for a big scale space battle, i think you might want to have a try on massive.
you can set the AI to move, behave shoot poursuit like space fighter pilot would.

Your brain-mousehand-interface and knowledge of cinematography. Organisational and analytical skills help. Computing power will probably be a limiting factor.

Application has very little to do with the end result, if you know how to use it.

WIP: Semi-Random Projects

Comco: i entered it manually in the back end

Just use the "addSpaceBattle" button in Max, it's in the "awesome effects" menu ...

It's a bit overused though... Scenes that use it now appear very generic mate. I'm working on V2 of the button which will have a pew-pew-pew-BANG option

My random WIP thread which includes some hints and tips on modelling which _may_ be useful for the link above...!

no. you just need to customize your UI to have access to that fantastic function.
the only thing about it is thats random and who wins is random as well.
