^As of right now, no, we don't have the proper equipment to find smaller earth-like worlds, but that will change in a couple decades.

But other than that those findings are pretty ho-hum as they've been refining technics, but not really jumping ahead and actually finding true near earth sized planets. Hell they're still trying to wrap their heads around how Super-Giant Gas Planets can from within mercury's orbit.

I guess we would really learn to love getting old on that planet! Gee... I'd be over 3000 years old already if I lived there!! :O

I would assume that we wouldn't really feel it moving once we land . . . and the rotation rate *might* lessen the apparent gravity due to centripetal forces, but we'd definitely feel a lot heavier

though seeing the sun and stars streak across the sky could induce motion sickness
it would be like standing in some sort of timelapse photo

Welcome to the club, mate....

I feel the same.

They may not be the perfect place to found a new colony, but Amerigo Vespucci is ought to have said equally about America, and now?
Now America is a big power. Not the best, but definitely not the worst, so hey....

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

Lol @ FTL drives, Isnt Nasa still trying to get funding for its Ion Drive project that has been stagnant since the 90's. Lets face it, if we has a human race can let go of the facets of monitary system were every thing revolves around a bottom line $$$ figure then progress as a race is going to be slow.

Once we can come to gether and work as one united social group with a common goal then we will truely be unstoppable. but until then we have the SCIFI Channle and Trekkkk reruns.

Unfortunately, docprice is probably right.

I'll be very lucky if I even get to see earth from orbit in my lifetime. :/
